Mumbai Consulate: H-1B appointment

Hi guys,

1) How many days before one can book the visa appointment date for Mumbai consulate?

2) Do we have to submit documents like we used to do with VFS? If yes, can I submit it before 4 days of my appointment date?

I think in the new process, it is not necessary to submit the documents prior to interview.
you can carry all the documents with you during interview. This is what i heard from "Stanley rep" recently.
