What if I leave my current employer when H1B ext is still in processing?

I have an extension filed for H1B which is currently in RFE status.

I do have the receipt #.

What if I leave my current employeer?

Do I risk the opportunity for H1B visa in future?

Would having just the receipt number be an issue if my new employeer ever wants to process my H1B/extension?

If you leave the US immediately after quitting the job, it will be fine. When does/did your I-94 expire?
If you are not in the US at all, it also does not matter.
