Extension of I-94

I got my H1B visa stamping done and it is valid till 30-Jan-2014. But my old passport is valid only till Sep-2013.
So, at port of entry, immigration officer gave me i-94 based on my old passport i.e., till sep-2013.

Now, I got my new passport and I want to know how to get my i-94 extension as per my visa stamp i.e., till Jan-2014.

Your employer can file an extension.
You can leave the US and return.
Do one of these before the I-94 expires.
