H1B transfer-need an answer urgently

I've been woking on H1 in company A for 2yrs. I got an offer from company B and have been asked to join asap and I also want to change asap. Company B has filed the H1b transfer. Is it ok to resign now as 2 weeks notice is needed or should I wait till company B gets the receipt from INS. Can company A take any legal action against and cancel my H1 by any chance?

Hi,
Legally you can work with company B if you have got the receipt no. for the H1B transfer. But what if the H1b transfer does not come through for some reason. Then you will be neither here nor there. So I think you should wait till the approval I797 to join company B.
