EAD through H1B of wife's company

Hi, I have a unique situation. I am on H1B and got EAD in April 2012. My wife also got EAD. Apart from this my wife has a company where I don't work. What if I transfer my H1B to her company. I think I can still continue to apply for EAD extension. I am not sure if I can still apply for my wife's EAD? Any idea if this is a bad idea?
