  • H4 Visa for BioTechnology graduates.

    Hello all,

I am on H1b in USA. I have my Labor and I140 approved and I am getting married in May 2013 and my fiancee is a BE Graduate from India in BioTechnology. I have a couple of friends of mine, who's fiancee's and wives got their H4 visa denied and they were BioTech grads as well. I looked around in this forum to find some posts/threads about it. Can anyone share any kind of information/experiences that could help me?

@The Visa interview, should she mention that she has done her bachelors in BoiTech? Or is it optional?

Please help, I am a little concerned about it.

Your Id itself can scare many people. Jokes apart, yes there have been additional processing and delays for visas especially around Bio-Tech/Chemical related fields grads, one cant help it. Also, its wrong to withhold any information on DS-160 and can be used against the applicant later on if found out. Better to mention it and go through the process rather than jeopardizing her stamping and your GC processing too.

This is my opinion not legal advice.

@Raghavi - Pramod is my name, yes this Id was just a casual id created.
Thanks for the information. Yes, I heard the same from my employer's attorney firm as well. They asked me to mention everything in the DS - 160 and not hide anything. I guess I have no other option but to risk the process :-)

Thanks again, any other suggestions/experiences are welcome from anyone on the forum.
