No Surname in passport
Dear Immihelp,
I am in USA on L1-B Visa and my wife came here on L2 Visa and went back to India after 1 month vacation.
I am applying for new H1 B visa and H4(dependent) for my wife so that next time she can come with me around Oct'13.
I have a question : As my wife doesnt have any Given name on passport she has only First name so her L2 Visa was issued with
Given name : YYYY (HER NAME)
First name: FNU
Now I want to add Given(last name) name as my surname on her passport but as I am applying for H4 for her with old passport copy
because company is forcing me send all the documents asap. But passport crrection will take atleast 4-5 weeks.
So would it be a problem for her after getting H4 approval. Because after correcting her name in passport her name will be
Given Name : MY SURNAME
FIRST NAME : HER NAME
Her visa approval would say different name.
So please suggest me how can I handle this situation.
