I got my H1B approved on Sep/22/2006 and its validity was until Jan/18/2009. I travelled to US in Nov/04/2006 and was here till Oct/27/2007. Since my H1B expired in Jan, 2009, I applied for L1B and got it approved in Feb,2009. Then I travelled to USA in Mar,2009 and henceforth I have stayed here for 4 years. Meantime I got my L1B converted to L1A which is valid until Jan,2014.
Now I am looking to apply for H1B in April 2013 quota. I would like to know, if I need to apply under the 2013 cap or Can I simply transfer my L1A to H1B on a different company and apply for extension based on my previous H1B petition?
