H4 for Parents??

    H4 for Parents??

    Hey all,

    Maybe this has come up before but I counldn't find it on the forum ...so here goes....

    Is it at all possible to petition for an H4 for parents? I know that H4 is supposedly only for spouses and children of the H1B holder, but I have personally met poeple who have succesfully sponsored their parents on H4 visa!!

    Does anyone have any idea about this and any suggestions as to the petition process?

    Hi,
    It is absolutely impossible for parents to come on H4. It is a kind of visa that is meant only for spouse and children of H1s.

      Yes, I too fully agree with Veena. You can bring your parents only on tourist (B)visa
