H1 Visa under Cap exemption - Need Clarification

HI,

Previously I hold H1 Visa which was valid from 2006-09. I trvaelled to US on H1 in 2007, may 26th and came back on Septemebt2nd. So i used only 3 months in my previous H1.

Now, i heard those who had h1 visa previously, under Cap quota , wont fall under this year quota. So can i applyfor H1 Visa now, under Cap exemption , on previous H1 Status.

Could any one please clarify me this.

Yes, until 2009 + 6 = 2015.

Thanx Kabkaba.. But is last 6 years of H1 status means from the day H1 was expired, or should it be the day i landed in US or from the day my petition was approved ?
