  • H1B Visa Transfer - 3 yrs left - New Employer doesn't sponsor GC

    Hi Folks,

Currently, I'm on H1B visa with Company A. Got a new job with company B, starting in July 2013. Company B is ready to transfer the Visa, but company doesn't file GC.
Opportunity is really good with new company and I'm really bored at Company A.

I'm planning to join company B and simultaneously look for new opportunity where employer files GC.
With Company B, I'll be starting my 4th year of H1B.
How soon should I switch to Company C (assuming they file for my GC)
How much time is advisable to have in hand before applying for GC with company C (LC & I-140)

    Thanks!
    Nik

Nik@ please make sure that your labor get filed before you enter into your 6th year. Usually it take 5-6 months to file a labor. So get it started as soon as you enter into 5th year.
