Can I have H1B and B1/B2 at the same time ?

Dear Experts

I have both B1/B2 ( valid till 2020) and H1B ( valid till 2015) . These to visa were processed by my previous employer and I traveled with the both the VISA in different times.

So, I got my SSN also.

Now I have three doubts. My present company asking me to travel to with a B1/B2 visa as they did not transfer my H1B.

1. Is it possible to legally travel with B1/B2 visa now ?
2. If I travel with B1/B2, will my H1B be cancelled?
3. If I travel with B1 and H1 is not cancelled, can I initiate transfer of my H1B within US if any US employer would like to transfer it?

Also keep in mind, if you have multiple visas, your intent will be asked and if needed be scrutinized at the port of entry. So make sure you are travelling with all required documents.

Hi Anniket25, My wife is in the similar situation holding both H1B and B2 visa. She want to travel to US to join me on B2 visa and then do the H1B transfer to any US Employer.

I would like to know if you faced any complications in Immigration or H1B Transfer while doing so. I see your posts from 2013 year.

Kindly advise if you can.
