Have a visa on 10th of this month but lost my passport? what should i do now?

I lost my passport in Bangalore international airport.. unfortunately they didn't find it. I came to India recently on 29th, April for my marriage... i was a F1 student and got my H1 B visa on 31 st September and it was started on 1st Oct, 2012.. Now i have to go to visa interview for stamping but lost of my passport? what should i do now? what is the process to get a new passport? And what should i do with visa interview? should i postpone it future date? Do i need to fill the DS 160 form?Because i had to update my Ds-160 form with lost passport info?

I believe you can get a new passport in tatkal in a day.
Than call consulate helpline or visit nearest vfs or send them an email.
