Hi,
I am on H1B visa working for an Indian IT service provider. I have been working on projects of small duration which tend to get extended with an approved Change Request (CR) to the original work order. During the process of approval of the CR (between my employer and client), my company assumes I am not on any project and thus terminates my benefits and stops crediting my paycheck, even though I am still working in USA.
Even worse, I am notified of the termination of benefits 15 days after it is actually terminated and do not receive my salary without any notice. A lots of follow-ups thereafter leads to reinstating of my benefits and salary.
Does anybody know if this is a non-compliance with respect to the LCA? Can I go back to my employer and warn them not to do this again? I would appreciate any other suggestions on how to deal with my employer, so as to overcome this harassment in future.
