Hi,
I am currently on H1B visa and I am planning to take leave(unpaid) for maternity for 5-6 months. If my employer agrees to give me this leave, what documents do I need from employer for this.
1)Will a leave letter stating that I am taking unpaid leave for 5 months be enough?
2)Do I need to have payslips for this 5-6 months?
3) Will I be in valid status(H1B) during the leave
or Do I need to convert to H4 during this time?
Please let me know how I can maintain my H1b Status.
