H1 Stamping: Please help......

Hi,
I am an employee of an Indian company(A). I am working in US for a client on L1 through the company A. I have got I-94 till 2007.

Then I wanted to shift to H1 and applied for a H1 through a consultant (B) here. When I was filing the H1, we mentioned that we will get visa stamp (in passpaort) outside US and the nearest US consulate as Chennai (Madras)

But now, looking at chennai consulate appointment dates, it seems I won't get an appointment in this year after I receive my H1 papers.

Can I go to Mexico/Canada to attend for the VISA stamping..

Please help me in this regard.

Yes, you can

Just got back from Mexico. If you have everything in order, it takes 1/2 a day. If you were ever arrested or convicted, remember to say YES!!! If your crime is not one of "moral turpitude" you will not be rejected.
