    Is a UK Transit Visa required

    Hi,

    I am currently on my STEM OPT and have an approved H-1B visa petition with a start date of Oct 1, 2013.

    I will be traveling to India via London's Heathrow airport end of October and will be getting my H-1B stamping done while in India.

    My passport currently has an F-1 visa stamp that expires in June 2014. Would I need a UK Transit Visa to travel via London or would my unexpired F-1 visa stamp suffice in this situation?

    Since your F1 Visa is valid, you will not need the Direct Airside Transit Visa.
