Visa stamping in Canada..please share your experience

Hello,
Can anyone who has got his/her H1B visa stamped in the US consulate at Canada, especially the Montreal or Toronto embassies please share their experience? I am interested in knowing how long it takes to get the passport back with the visa stamped. Also which of these two embassies are more convenient, with regards to the fact that the Toronto consulate does not directly deal with visa fees?
