Wrong DOB in H1 Petition/Notice of Action

Hi,

My friend got his H1 Approved but the DOB printed is not correct.
instead of 16th May 1980 it is 16th March 1980.
The mistake happened because in the first page of the passport, it is the wrong date of birth and it was corrected later and put in the "observation page" of the passport.

Any suggestion on how to get this corrected will be really appreciated.

send form I-824 ( Application for an action on approved petitions)to the USCIS requesting the change. ( was this a Premium processing cas?? if it was the employer can smply send a fax/email request. They usually consider and change as a courtesy.

Can I use this for to change the DOB in an approved petition ?
I read this form but it does not say that it can be used to correct the data.
Please advice.
