Need Suggestion/advice for H1-B Visa

My previous employer filed H1-B for me in 2007 Oct'. My petition got approved and processed but it was not yet processed for Visa interview. I have I-797 document for the same petition. Can my petition(I-797) be considered now for Visa stamping, if so what is the process to proceed further.

Hello, Chandrakanth.

The date would have got expired on that I797. I am sorry but the H1B is valid for 6 years. To revive an existing petition, one has to maintain valid H1B status for some time in the 6 years from the issue of H1B visa. I do not feel you will be able to use this visa because of the time reason.
