I am Australian Permanent Resident and came to Australia 6 months back. I had applied for H1B visa from India. The H1B Petition has been approved and Chennai,India has been listed as consulate for visa interview. I am currently working in Australia, and my education was completed in India and it is for the first time that I am applying for H1B visa. Do I need to go back to India to take the visa interview for stamping or Could I take the H1B Visa Interview for Stamping in Australia? If the visa interview for stamping is taken in India, Would the passport be returned within 3-5 working days or will there be any delay?
