U.S. Embassy Announces New Systems For Visa Applicants
VFS and Bank Of America (Working With HDFC Bank) to Provide Visa and Fee Collection Services

The US embassy has announced a new system for payment of Visa fees via HDFC bank and all visa appointment will be taken up by VFS from Oct 1, 2005.

Will this change requires all applicants having visa interview after Oct 1, 2005 to follow the new system or it is only for applicants who intend to book date on or after OCt 1, 2005...

Say i am having my interview on Oct 20, 20005, sh'd i follow the new system for paying my Visa fees..??will there be any change in my interview date??

Actually Ganesh, there are no updates on this. Appointments already made using TTServices will stay like always. I think this new DD rule will apply only to the new appointments made through vfs.usa.

Friends keep track of this as changes may happen,,,,since as per new norms we need to pay the amt Rs.4400($100) in advance in specific HDFC branches...

as mentioned by Veena it will be mostly applicable only for applicants booking dates through VFS, effective Oct 1, 2005.
