Hi everyone, just wanted to know if there is 6 months residence requirement to apply for the H4 visa in India.
My case: I am Indian citizen having H1 visa, my fiancee is Indonesian citizen we are getting married in India. At the time of marriage she will be on Visitor visa in India. After the marriage I am planning to apply H4 visa for her before her visitor visa expire in India. But when I contacted customer service they mentioned like this "Please note that, if the applicant has stayed in India for at least six months, you may apply for U.S. Visa from India".
I know that your passport need to be valid for 6 months but I was not able to find this rule anywhere. If anyone knows about this can you please guide me to that content?
