H1B Transfer - Need Urgent Help

My Friend has a H1B visa with stamping done and he is working for a Indian MNC. His Employer is not ready to send him now as they dont have immediate requirements. What are all the possiblities to travel with a different employer

1) Can i transfer Visa to different emoplyer from India?
2) If i need to apply a new petetion will the new pwtetion comes under that year CAP?

What are all the documents requires if option 1 is applicable

When was his H1 filed? Whats the validity of H1 in passport? Whats the validity of the petition?

H1B Transfer - Need Urgent Help

Hi Raghvi,

It was filed in 2013 and the visa got approved for 3 years. He has valid passport till 2017

Yes any employer can file a Cap exempt petition and once approved, you can travel with the approved petition and work for that employer. No need to go for fresh H1 stamping.
