  • Applying for H1-B visa while wife is pregnant.

    Hi,
I got offered a job with a US based company who's going to sponsor my H1-B visa (applying in April 2014, in order to start working in Oct. 2014).
My wife is currently pregnant, and is due in May (after the application for the Visa will be filed).

Can there be a problem with this situation?
What's the process to register a child as a dependant, after the H1 application was filed?

    Thanks,
    Ariel

It shouldn't be a problem. H1 is petition for you not for your dependents.

When you fill the DS-160 form for booking the visa appointment, you can add the dependents, you will have to fill DS-160 for self, spouse and child.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
