H1B Transfer without starting work on that H1B

I am currently working with a company A on an expired L1B and valid I-94.
I had applied my H1B with some other company B and it has been approved. Now company B is asking me to resign from company A and join them. If I want to stay with company A, is it possible that I dont resign from company A and company A gets a h1b transfer for me? Thanks in advance.

If H1 was applied as COS (Change of Status) then you must work with employer B from COS start date. Any employment with A post COS start date is illegal and makes you out of status.
