  • Visa stamping in India

Currently, I reside in US on H4 visa. My husband who is. H1b visa holder would be going to India to stamp his extended visa of 1 1/2 years. Is it mandatory for me to go to India for the stamping too? What would be the consequences for me back here if his visa gets/ doesn't get stamped there?

When is your I-94 expiring? Technically dependent visa holders can stay for brief periods in US, unless genuine hardship can be shown.

If at all his visa gets rejected you go out of status and would have to leave US.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
