    Hello,

    1. Can I switch Jobs after my H1- B has been approved (in June) and before it gets issued in (Oct)?

    2. When the new company applies for a transfer, can the existing company deny the transfer?

    3. After the visa has been approved (it will have the name of the existing company on it), is it tedious to change the company and get the VISA transferred?

    4. Does having an 'advanced degree' (MS) mean that an H1-B is almost guaranteed? (Since we get considered in the general as well as the 20000 quota for advanced degrees)?

    Thanks.

You will be considered as a cap exempt when your new employer apply for a transfer petition if you hold approved petition. Nothing to with your existing employer and you can travel using the stamped visa (though it has old employer name on it) with the new approved petition.

    4. Nothing is guaranteed however you have more chances to get through in the lottery.

    This is my opinion.
