H1 visa - passport expiry - Urgent help needed.

Hi,

I have a query regarding my passport.

My passport is expiring in Nov 2014, i want to apply for H1B petition with my old passport in April 2014. And in mean time i would like to apply for reissue of new passport. Can i apply for visa interview with my new passport (other than mentioned in the H1B petition) carrying the old passport with me.

Please advice me on this.
