H1B Transfer Travel to Inida
Hi All,
I am in US and hold a H1B VISA which expires in Nov 2014. I have been sent by my company 'ABC' in India to work for a client 'XYZ' in US.
Now, I have received an offer from my client 'XYZ' to join them. [It is a kind of take over of the employees and project by 'XYZ']
Now that my client is becoming my employer (in the same location), My VISA will be transferred from 'ABC' to 'XYZ'.
(1) During my VISA transfer or after my VISA transfer, If I Visit India, do I need to go for H1B Stamping ? I figured out that Stamping is not absolutely necessary because I will still have a valid visa and only new I797 is to be shown at the port of entry. Could you please confirm this ?
(2) In my case, both my previous employer and current employer are well reputed and they can provide all the necessary documents.
Is it advisable for me to go for stamping anyway ? Please Suggest.
I will get all documents for proof with out any problem. But, I would be having only 2 pay slips from the new employer by the time I go for Stamping.
