Expired H1B visa - Reuse

Hi every one.

My H1B visa is expired on Feb 2013 which I got in Apr 2012 with a validity of just 10 months. I have not used / traveled with this visa. Presently I am looking for H1B visa. So can any one please let me know is there any way to use the expired visa.
I heard this expired can be useful for the next 5 years.

Can any please write on this .

Yes, your new employer can apply for a cap exempt petition using your already approved petition.
