Consultants/Agents ask for visa scanned copy.

Hi,

I have a valid stamped H1 visa, and looking for job in USA, while I am in India. I have never visited USA.

I am in contact with few consultants/recruiting agents, and first thing they ask for is scanned copy of visa. I am a bit reluctant to provide them copy.

Is it safe to give them visa copy, even when no interview is scheduled? your thoughts?

That's common and that's the only way to verify about the information your have provided to them.

Yes you are right, they need to check my authenticity. My concerns here is, is it ok to give them visa copy, even when the interview process has not yet started.

They cannot do anything with that. If you think it is unsafe to give a copy to them, then look out for other employers.
