Approved L1 & H1 petition

Hi,

I am currently in USA and have approved petitions for both L1 Extn and fresh H1. If i have to go to India after october, can i get stamped only L1 extn & come back on L1 visa without loosing H1 petition or do i have to get H1 stamped only?

Are they for same employer? You have a choice as to which visa stamping to go for. If you wish to go for L1 stamping fine, if rejected you can always go for H1 stamping.
