changing F1 to H4 question

I would like to change my F1 visa to H4 but my passport is already expired. Can I change my visa to H4 while I'm in the U.S ? or do i have to do it back home since my passport is expired?

Your passport has expired? You need to get anew passport before trying F1 to H4 COS.
