    Maximum period for h1b stay in US

    Hi ,
    Earlier I was in US for 3year3months on L1b visa. Recently I have applied for H1b visa.
    Normally we can stay maximum 6years on H1b. But this case do they consider my earlier 3'3month stay in US ?
    Now How many years I am eligible for staying in US, PLease suggest me..

    You are eligible for a H-1B for 6 years. inspite of your previos stay.

      Hi,
      The 6 year period will take into account the period you have spent on L visa earlier, unless you have stayed out of US for one whole year.
