Greetings:
I filed my I-140 back in Feb-2014, but apparently there is no status update on my case. Upon calling USCIS, they identified that they are overwhelmed and still processing cases before the date I filed mine.
My H1-B visa stamp on passport expires Aug-14 and my visa expires in Dec-14. Should I request NOW for one year extension based on my labor approval or should I wait for another year hoping to get results for I-140? My wife's visa stamp also expires same time as mine. Will be that be any concern?
Both mine and my wife's driving license expires with our visa stamp. I have my 797 that says my visa is valid till dec, but I don't know if DMV will accept that and don't know how to get license renewal for my wife. Any thoughts/experiences?
Thank you,
