My approved H1B petition got lost in transit by FedEx people. Now my employer is applying to get a duplicate copy of petition. Can anyone tell me the procedure and how long will it take for my employer to get the duplicate copy of petition?

How do you know it got lost in transit?

My employer has informed me about it. They said they will be applying for a duplicate copy but that will take time. So just want to understand the process around duplicate petition doc.

Ask them for the tracking number of the lost package. See for yourself. Just don't blindly trust the employer.
