Unused, Unstamped, Approved and Expired H1B petition

Hello guys,

Could you pls help me in understanding my status of visa / processing as per below mentioned case,

I have got my H1B petition approved by employer A in Oct 2007 - Oct 2010, I never get it stamped and thus never travelled to US on H1B.
Later I have got my B1 stamped and visited US couple of times for around 2 months.
Now I have got an employer B who is processing my H1B using my old Unused, Unstamped, Approved and Expired H1B petition(period oct 2007 to oct 2010), which is subjected to quota exempt as I never been to US on H1B visa.
Employer B submitted it to Vermont service center on April 1st 2014, till date I did not get any acknowledgement number / receipt number.
Pls let me know if anyone in this forum has an idea about this.

Strange that you still didnt get a receipt. Whats the employer saying? You can ask employer to raise a query with USCIS for the same. Or go for premium processing to get a faster response.

Hi shishirtaral, Did you get your CAP Exempt H1B approved? As I also have H1B unused petition which got expired in 2011 Sep , trying to find out whether i would be cap exempt if i go for a new one....if i am cap exempt can i apply immediately...or wait till april 2015..please clarify

Hi shishirtaral, Did you get your CAP Exempt H1B approved? As I also have H1B unused petition which got expired in 2011 Sep , trying to find out whether i would be cap exempt if i go for a new one....if i am cap exempt can i apply immediately...or wait till april 2015..please clarify

H1 B petition unstampted but receive 221(g) in 2008, can i use in 2015

Hi All,

I have H1 b petition approved and attended visa interview and obtained 221(g) blue form but unfortunately employer not responded.

validitity : 2208-2011

can i approach new employer for h1 transfer.

Need help on this.
