H1b and i-94 expiring in Sept 2014...wife 30 weeks pregnant cannot travel

Hi Team,

My Husband's H1b and I-94 is expiring on 30th sept 2014.
At the same time , I am 30 weeks pregnant so i cannot travel.
My Husband's employer has some internal issues in extending his H1b.
Please note that his maximum stay on H1b till date is 2 years.

Can we overstay in US beyond our VISA and I 94 expiration?
What should be done in this situation?
