I94 getting expired but H1B expiry date still have one year to expiry

Hi,

my passport is getting expired next year so I Have been given i94 till my passport expiry date, But i have a valid HIB till 2016.

I am getting my passport reniew, but do i have to get out of the country to get my i94 extended.

You can either do that or go to the nearest CBP office and try to get a new I-94.
