I came on F2 visa and my husband recently got his H1 approved (Sep 20th 2014) without change of status. So he went to India on Oct 4th 2014 and got his visa stamping done succesfully and came back to USA on Oct 14th 2014. I didnt go with him for visa stamping. As I have to get my F1 visa for which I plan to go Mid of november 2014 so that i can be back by dec 2014 end and start my classes in Jan 2015. I dont want to go india right now as I will have to stay there for longer. Because once my F1 is approved I can only enter usa not more than one month prior to my classes.
So I would like to know that much time can I stay here or am I suppose to leave the country immediately and get my H4 or F1 visa done?
When my husbands H1 was filled, I dont think his employer filled for my H4 specifically.
