regarding 221g and yellow envelop

Hi,

I have given 221g at chennai on Nov 15th when I attended for H1B stamping.
I am planning to attend the interview in Dec. Here my doubt is somebody was talking about "yellow envelop from VFS" which is required in case of 221g.
What is that yellow envelop? I don't have any info about this. Is there anybody to help in this?

It is really difficult to answer this question without knowing the context.

There used to be a procedure when one could write to the consulate and request for a special appointment for some emergency, and the consulate used to allot a yellow folder appointment to them. I am not sure if this system still exists after the intervention of the VFS. In any case you will have to prove an emergency, and since you already have a 221(g), you can anyway walk into the consulate with the required documents on Tue, Wed , Thur as it might say in the refusal letter issued to you.

Are you talking about the emergeny appointment? That has the yellow thing, if u dont wanna know about emergency appointments, firgte about yellow thing.
