Travel on H4, having approved H1 visa

Hello All,

I am planning to travel on H4, but I have approved stamped H1 visa..

1. If i'll go for H4 stamping what will happen to approved H1 petition which is valid till June, 2017.

2. If H1 petition will be valid, then after travelling to US on H4, can i search job based on H1 petition as its approved and valid till 2017.

please suggest...
