I am holding H1B visa with company A in inida where iam currently working for. i am planing to transfer to company B.

my query is once my petition is approved with company B , can i travel legally to US with valid petition of B and Visa stamp of A ? or is it mandatory to go for stamping with company B ?

It is not mandatory but certainly advisable, to make the employer go through additional USCIS check to safeguard your long term interest.
