H1b transfer - Work for old employer?

Hi,

I am currently working on H1B visa for company A. I got a job offer from company B. I accepted the offer and they applied for my H1B transfer. The visa transfer case is pending right now. Can i continue to work for company A without ever joining company B? Or do i have to join company B and then get H1B transfer back to company A?

I dont think there is compulsion to join B. You can continue to work for A as long as their petition is valid and you have a valid I-94.
