Hi ,
I came to US on H1 along with my wife on H4 stamped till 2004. While in US we got the H1/H4 extention valid till 2008 however the extended visa is not stamped on our passports. In Oct 2005 I switched tmy job and filed the H1 and H4 transfer. In nov 2005 my wife had to go to India and now she is planning to come back. We have only received H1 /h4 transfer receipt notice and have not received approval yet.
My question is does she require H4 visa stamping considering felow points, because one of the consultent told me that there is no need for stamping and she needs to show transfer recipt notice at port of entry
1. her passport has expired visa however she has H4 extention till 2008 from my old compny
2. We have H1/h4 transfer receipt notice for my new company we have not yet received approval
If she needs stamping can she get H4 stamped just by H1/h4 transfer receipt notice as we have not yet received approval yet.
