I had a question about Passport validity.
My spouse holds an Indian Passport that is valid until 1st May 2015. She has a H4 visa stamped until July 2017. We are planning to travel to US during 3rd week of Feb 2015.
1. I wanted to know if she can travel with a passport that is expiring in less than 3 months.
2. If yes, will she get an I-94 until her passport expiry date or her H4 validity date.
3. If we apply for a Indian passport as soon as we reach US, how can the I-94 be extended based on the new passport expiration.
4. What documents will she need to renew her passport in the US and how long does it normally take to get one.
