H1B , I 94 - Renewal

Hi All,

I am in need of knowing the process of the below scenario , I have a valid H1B till Jan 2017, but my passport expires in Apr 2015 . I went to india last May 2014 and during my POE my new I-94 was given till Apr 2015 . I have renewed by passport here and have submitted for new I -94 through my employer . I got a revised LCA from Aapril 2015 to April 2018( day after my current I-94 expires) . My employer has also filed my I-94 extension and i got my receipt notice .

I would like to know how long will it take to get new I-94 , Adding to it on my I-797 A , i have a receipt to the bottom says the I-94 recepit and shows the validity till Jan 2017 .My questions are ,

-> Can i consider the I-94 in my I-797 A as a active I94 ,
-> How long will it take for me to get my new I-94 .
-> Since i have a revised LCA , is it legal for me to stay here
-> Finally , or can i travel to india during this period and come back , so i will get the new I-94 , if i travel to india , do i need to go for stamping ?
