Can someone have both H1 and H4 visa at the same time

Hi,

Can someone having a H1 visa can apply for H4 and have both H1 and H4 visa at the same time.

H1 and H4

No, you cannot have the H1 and H4 at the same time. when you are on H1 and apply for H4 as soon as the H4 is approved that is the one you have. If you find another job then the new employer will have to apply for your H1 again.
