Query on expiry date

Hi Folks.,
I have a valid H1B visa with expiration date as 30th Sep, 2015. I am yet to enter USA and I wonder what would be status of visa from Oct 2015. Pls advice on how the extension works.

This current visa would be invalid after Sep 2015. Your employer would have to file a cap Exempt I129 petition along with relevant documentation. Once it is approved they would get a new I797, using this new I797 you can go for new visa stamping to get a new visa.
